As a priest once told me when I lost my grandmother due to cancer, "Memories are your partner now".  I remember telling JDF that his poetry was something that helped me get through tough times.  Allowing me to write as an outlet.

As a priest once told me when I lost my grandmother due to cancer, "Memories are your partner now". Lost her when I was in my freshman year in high school. (Looks like you and I have something in common Walter). I've never brought this up often, but I was in a temporary state of depression, and I recall reading Amy Jo's story from the Chicken Soup series (the one that I owned was on Tough Stuff, which is where I came across her story). I kept reading it for a few weeks before I had to leave in November to be at my family's native home for the funeral. Also to quote Jason Faunt, he said in an interview regarding JDF "The best way to remember someone is to talk about them".  Sharing such memories and how he impacted people around the world is a way of keeping him alive. (Honestly, I know there are stories over in Europe and I hope to find some soon. I may even put it in a book).

Yes.  Although I should have paid attention to the questions.  My mistake was addressing my first one to all 3 when I should have addressed it to just Walter and Austin. (That was entirely my fault).  Now I know better.

Ah, that chat was so much fun.  To those who were having technical issues, you have my sympathy.  It's happened to me when I have livestreams with some Youtubers.  Technology...what can I say? (To those unable to ask a question, you have my condolences).  For some of the great questions that I heard on the meeting, I just wanted to say thank you.  I've been trying to do some research on a project that I'm working on.

While I know this is the most iconic team up episode according to most fans, I will admit that it was a missed opportunity of mine (a few times actually) to get signatures on this.  Heck, Catherine Sutherland (voiced Tezzla) was on Day 2 when I went to Comic-Con and it slipped my mind (rookie move). But...I'm hoping to at least get most of the cast's signature on mine.

Elijah Lawson My very first was the Turbo Pink/In Space Pink Ranger (Cassie) Patricia Ja Lee.  Met her twice.  Once, she was cosplaying to promote an anime that 2nd MMPR Black Ranger (Adam) Johnny Yong Bosch was in [The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya].  2009, I met Steve Cardenas (Rocky), Karan Ashley (Aisha), Catherine Sutherland (Katherine) (first time), and Blake Foster (Justin).  Later I met Dwayne Cameron (Tyzonn) in 2019 and 2021 (second time at a different convention), met Christopher Khayman Lee for the first time that year, then in 2022 at PMC, I met Jack Guzman (Iron Bison), Philip Andrew (Howling Wolf), John Tui (Doggie Cruger), Austin St. John, Walter E. Jones, and a particular Sentai Actor (Ozawa-san) [GokaiRed].

Oh what was your position and what was it like working on such an iconic franchise?

This picture was back in 2021 when I learned that Jason Faunt was going to be in Southern California (particularly Irvine) and helping promote Legend of the White Dragon as well as the Power Protection Program (PPP).  While it was my first time meeting him, I was glad there were others who were waiting as well so I got to meet a few other Ranger and Resident Evil enthusiasts.  At the time in 2021, he had a particular poster that they made which he was selling and while I did pay for the VIP package (a few signed items and a picture with him), I decided to go for the new print (which I still have).  What was great is that on Instagram, he did tag JDF letting him know that I was the first customer who purchased one of the new posters.

We spoke at length about the franchise and the LOTWD project and there was a quote that I used that I knew actor Mark Dacascos knew since he was part Japanese himself.  Mr. Faunt asked me if I met him yet, but I humbly told him "Not yet, but I would love to sometime". [This was taken back in December of 2021]
