Most DEFINITELY Gokaiger!
Ahhhh!! My favorite episode! I remember first meeting you and wearing the outfit from the episode šŸ™ŒšŸ½ I still have old VHS. I mustā€™ve worn that Tape out as a kid lol
Also, you and Walter are the reason I got into martial arts. Studied Isshinryu karate for 7 years. And Iā€™m currently a Sho Dan (first degree black belt).
A hero on AND off screen. This is while youā€™ll always be THE red ranger to me. The blueprint šŸ¤ŒšŸ½

So I posted something previously to the Facebook group. And I commonly got a question about it, particularly where I got it. Well, I had to get this piece by piece. Becuase power rangers suits and incredibly difficult to get ahold of. You need both reliable resources and a lot of money.

Now, back in 2015 is when I first committed to getting the cosplay. I first had a loose fitting jumpsuit. A foam-ish belt, flimsy gloves and boots that were two sizes too big. I wore those the time I met Walter for the first time. And when I looked back on it, I was embarrassed. Thatā€™s when I scoured the internet for resources. Fast forward about 4 years; I got a new job for more flexible hours, so I had the money and time. Bought a more fitting suit, got properly fitting boots, sturdy gloves and cuffs. Commissioned a friend for a belt and holster, had a vintage blade blaster laying around. So all that was left was the most difficult and most expensive part, the helmet. I had a friend that made them. And it was a lot of trials and tribulations, but a year laterā€¦ I finally got the helmet, it fit. The moment I had the full suit on, I felt so fulfilled. My inner child was happy. And I couldnā€™t wait for Walter to see. Last I saw him was Rangerstop 2019ā€¦ still awkward lol but I felt better than I did when I first met him. And I Still wear it proudly.

I remember the first time I met Walterā€¦ I was terrified lmao I had my friends with me to hype me up, one was recording. I remember barely making through the encounter. I met Walter two more times afterwards. Still awkward lol but better. I remember meeting Austin the ONE time, and he was pushing me to Walterā€¦ I was still scared lol but regardless, still my hero, and I wear my black ranger gear and necklace (identical to the one he wears) PROUDLY šŸ˜‡

Hey guys, wanted to share this from a week or so ago.

A friend of mine asked me to come to her sonā€™s birthday in my black ranger cosplay. Came for him but the whole place was in pandemonium lol. But overall, it made the kidā€™s day.

Fun tidbit: my helmet is a little tight. its mushed against my face, so I canā€™t speak. So whenever he asked me questions, I answered with mostly gestures. Thankfully his parents were knowledgeable enough to answer questions for me.

ā€¦however, they did convince him I was actually Zack šŸ˜¬

I think me and Walter are around the same height, so itā€™s okay, I guess šŸ¤·šŸ¾ā€ā™‚ļøšŸ¤£

I will admit, I was skeptical about this platform. Now I know itā€™s one of my best investments. Especially seeing content from my childhood heroes Walter and Austin. I donā€™t get to personally see them a lot becuase I donā€™t travel a lot outside of Orange County, Virginia. And the few times I did see them (once or twice) I was too star struck to really speak šŸ˜…. But hearing them speak on their experiences, and hearing indirect advice is always the highlight of my day. Canā€™t wait to see more.
